UNESCO World Heritage Site Ellora Caves To Have India's 1st Hydraulic Lift

Ellora Caves, UNESCO World Heritage Site in Maharashtra's Aurangabad district, would be the first monument in the nation to have a hydraulic lift, according to a top Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) official on July 31. Ellora is one of the world's biggest rock-cut temple complexes, holding Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain sculptures. "These projects are either being sanctioned or being carried out," said the superintendent archaeologist.
