US Passes $740-Billion Law Supporting India Against Chinese Hostility
The US Congress on January 2 passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2021, condemning China's military aggression against India. Earlier on December 23, US President Trump had vetoed the bill citing it would damage the national security. The $740-billion bill also criticized China's baseless claims over South and East China Sea. Moreover, stating that China's territorial-advancement is against the international law, the bill requested the regional countries to de-escalate disputes by working together.
