Woman Diagnosed With Polymastia After Lactating Milk From Armpit
After developing pain in the right armpit, a 26-year-old Portuguese woman was found to have been diagnosed with accessory breast tissue, also known as polymastia. The woman developed the tissue after she gave birth. According to researchers, nearly 6% of women are born with accessory breast tissue, however, they "do not realize it until they get pregnant or start breastfeeding". Reportedly, the condition is diagnosed during fetal development.
