Mumbai Police arrested one Ashish Chavda (23), for allegedly uploading pictures and the contact number of a woman, on an escort service WhatsApp group. The woman, who was receiving calls, asking for sexual favours, approached police, following which they tracked down Ashish and arrested him from Rajkot, Gujarat. Notably, this is the second time that the accused has committed the crime. Earlier also, Ashish was arrested but got bail.

In Bengaluru's double murder of tech officials, the police arrested all three accused, identified as Shabarish, Vinay Reddy and Santosh. Notably, the three accused including the former employee of a private tech firm killed Phanindra Subramanya, the MD and Vinu Kumar, the CEO. They attacked the victims with weapons such as a machete, sword, and a small knife, at the tech premises. An investigation is being conducted into the matter.

The accused arrested in Kerala Train Fire incident Shahrukh Saifi has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Arrested from Maharashtra, the accused, a resident of Shaheen Bagh, Delhi, allegedly poured fuel on his co-passengers in a running train, which led to the killing of three people and left eight seriously injured. NIA and Anti-Terror Squad are investigating the matter, and sent Saifi for medical treatment.

A joint team of Central Intelligence & Maharashtra ATS nabbed Sharukh Saifi, the absconding accused in Kerala's train fire incident.  Notably, recently, a man identified as Sharukh Saifi poured fuel and set ablaze co passengers in a train between Alappuzha-Kurnool. In Madhya Pradesh's Indore, Vimukta Sharma (54) woman principal of BM College of Pharmacy, was critically injured after an ex-student allegedly poured petrol on her and set her ablaze. The incident occurred on February 20, when ex-student Ashutosh Shrivastava (24) set ablaze her over marksheet issue. The victim suffered serious 80% burn injuries and is said to be in a critical condition at hospital.
