Venkaiah Naidu To Chair Rajya Sabha Floor Meeting On Jan 31: Delhi
Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu will be chairing a Rajya Sabha floor leaders meeting. Scheduled on January 31, at 5 pm, the meeting will be held virtually. During the meeting ahead of the Union Budget session, leaders will discuss MP suspension issue, budget session, COVID-19 spread amongst Parliament members and oppositions ruckus to disturb the session. Venkaiah Naidu Asks To Review COVID-19 Situation At Parliament Amid Budget Session
Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu, on January 10, called on Parliament Speaker Om Birla. He asked Birla to review COVID-19 situation at Parliament, ahead of the Budget Session, scheduled from February 1. Naidu directed to ensure effective measures to prevent COVID-19 spread and conduct of Budget session. The judgement came after recently, 400 staff tested positive for COVID-19.

Budget Session To Start From January 29; Union Budget On February 1
The Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs' has announced the dates of budget session to be held from January 29-February 15. Conducting the session in two phases, the second phase will be held from March 8-April 8. Reportedly, the Union Budget will be presented on February 1. The committee cleared that both the houses would sit for four hours a day. Moreover, President Ram Nath Kovind will head the joint sitting on January 29.
