Delhi CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) President Arvind Kejriwal, along with Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, is scheduled to visit Gujarat.  During the two-day visit, the duo will address a town hall meeting in Himmatnagar, on August 22 and a meeting in Bhavnagar on August 23. " Like Delhi, Gujarat will also have good schools, good hospitals, and Mohalla clinics," said Kejriwal ahead of his visit to poll-bound Gujarat.

Two Congress leaders, Naresh Raval and Raju Parmar, joined the BJP in Gujarat, on August 17 in the presence of State BJP President CR Patil. After joining the BJP, the leaders expressed disappointment with the Congress and said, they don't respect Gujarat and Gujarati leaders. Former Congress leaders said, "senior party leaders are sidelined, ignored and their views are never considered. Due to this, we have quit the party."

In Gujarat’s Rajkot, around 4,000 litres of adulterated milk has been seized from a truck at a check-post. Reportedly, the adulterated milk was made using chemicals like Sulfates, phosphates and carbonate oils. According to the police, the adulterated milk is being supplied to the cities from the past four months. The police then stated that the suppliers and the factory have been identified.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal promised that if his party is elected to power in Gujarat, the state will receive 24X7 power supply. A Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) has spread across 16 districts in Rajasthan, and the government is considered a ban on cattle movement. About 94,000 cases of the said infection in cattle has been reported, with at least over 4,000 cattle deaths. Meanwhile, 70,000 are being treated for the disease. Gujarat is believed to be the epicentre of the disease. Notably, Rajasthan has a total cow population of about 14 million.
