Landslide In Himachal Pradesh Kills Woman, Child, 2 Injured
In Himachal Pradesh's Chamba, a woman and her child died and two others were severely injured in a landslide incident on August 17, confirmed disaster management officials. Army Rifleman Shoots Himself Dead In J&K
Rifleman Yogesh Kumar, on duty in the Indian Army, has shot himself dead at Kullian camp in Miran Sahib area. Kumar, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, died on the spot, and was later taken to a hospital for post-mortem. The incident occured in the outskirts of the city. Himachal Pradesh BJP Vice President Praveen Sharma Passes Away At 65
Himachal Pradesh unit's BJP Vice President Praveen Sharma has passed away at the age of 65, on August 4 in Una district. Sharma breathed his last at his Amb kaswa residence, and is now survived by his wife and son. CM Jai Ram Thakur and BJP president JP Nadda expressed their grief over Sharma's demise. Flash Flood In Himachal Pradesh Leaves People Stranded, Rescue Operation Underway
In Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul and Spiti districts, the rescue management saved at least 105 people, mostly tourists after a flash flood left them stranded. On July 31, flash floods disturbed the holiday movement in Lahaul and Spiti, leaving many vehicles damaged, and people stranded along National Highway 505. Bus Falls In Gorge, Leaves 14 People Injured: Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh's Shimla region, fourteen passengers left severely injured after their bus fell into a gorge, on July 28. Notably, a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus was on its way to Theog from Jarai, skid off the road near Baghar Kenchi and Huli Sub Division Theog, rolling down 50-60 feet below the road, confirmed the State Disaster Management. Furthermore, injured people are being treated at healthcare centres.

3-Storey Building In Shimla Collapses As Storms Hit Himachal Pradesh; No Fatalities Recorded
Three-storey structure in Shimla's Chopal market collapsed as Himachal Pradesh continued to experience severe rain on July 9. There were no fatalities recorded. The building had a UCO Bank branch, Dhaba, bar, and few other firms. The bank was empty as it was the second Saturday of the month. Men at the bar suddenly discovered cracks in window and realized the danger, fled the building, and warned others.
