Pak Govt Calls Former PM Imran Khan ‘Traitor’, Warns Of Possible Attack

The ruling coalition government of Pakistan, called Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan a “traitor”, and warned him against attacking Islamabad. PM Shehbaz Sharif also asked Punjab and Pakhtunkhwa to not become a “tool” in paving way for chaos in the country. This has come after Imran Khan called for the “Haqeeqi Azadi March” with his party workers, considering it as “Jehad” for the country. However, Khan hasn’t revealed the date yet.

Arrest Warrant Issued Against Former Pak PM Imran Khan Over Threats To Female Judge

A magistrate court in Islamabad issued arrest warrant against former Pakistan PM Imran Khan over threats to a female judge. A case was registered against Khan on August 20, where he sent threats to sessions judge Zeba Choudhary during a public rally. The arrest warrant has been issued even after Khan submitted an affidavit stating that he has realised “he crossed the line”. He also apologised regarding the same.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s Bail Extended Till Sept 20 In Anti-Terrorism Case

In Pakistan’s Islamabad, an anti-terrorist court (ATC) granted extension of pre-arrest bail (anticipatory bail) to former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, in an alleged anti-terrorism case. The case was filed after Khan allegedly threatened Additional Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry during a public rally on August 20. The FIR filed against Khan stated that Khan intended to “terrorise” police officials and the judiciary.

Imran Khan Files Pre-Arrest Bail Plea In Islamabad Court

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan moved the Islamabad High Court seeking pre-arrest bail, on August 22. The President of PTI, was booked under Anti-Terrorism Act, for threatening a magistrate judge and two senior officials of the Islamabad police, during his rally in Islamabad. The petition filed by Khan's lawyers Babar Awan and Faisal Chaudhry mentioned that Khan was being a “target of the ruling PDM".
