In Tripura Rajya Sabha election, BJP State President Manik Saha was elected as the MP, after winning the elections. A total of 55 MLAs of the 60 member seat casted their votes on March 31.  Of the 55 MLAs' votes, 40 including 33 of the BJP voted for Manik. Notably, two candidates Manik Saha and  Bhanu Lal Saha were in the fray for the Tripura MP elections.

The newly elected state legislative Assembly members will take oath on March 15, while suspense over the new Goa CM continues. Moreover, setting off a political buzz MLA Vishwajit Rane met the governor who is being seen as a contender for the post. Furthermore, Rane said that "it was a personal courtesy visit". Meanwhile, on March 14, MLA-elect Ganesh Gaonkar will take oath as pro-tem speaker at Raj Bhavan. 

Telangana assembly speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on March 7, suspended three BJP MLAs T Raja Singh, M Raghunandan Rao, and Etela Rajender. The suspended MLAs are protesting outside the Assembly. The BJP MLAs wanted to organize a protest against the budget session and KCR government, as they chose not to schedule the customary governor’s speech for the session. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA, Indra Pratap alias Khabbu Tiwari from Ayodhya's Gosaiganj seat was disqualified from Uttar Pradesh Assembly's membership. The decision came after a special court convicted Tiwari for using a fake marksheet to get admission in college. Furthermore, he was sentenced to five years imprisonment. Elected as MLA in 2017, Khabbu Tiwari's membership is reported to be considered terminated from October 18.
