Chinese National Issued Lookout Circular In Mobile Loan App Scam Case
In a mobile loan app scam case, a Chinese national has been issued a lookout circular. Bureau of Immigration (BOI), the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha police, issued a lookout circular against Liu Yi, on July 13. Yi, the main accused in a mobile loan app scam case, has been booked under various sections of IPC and Section 66D of IT Act.

Lord Jagannath's Return Journey To Sri Mandir Commences With Bahuda Pahandi In Odisha
After spending seven days in the Gundicha Temple, Lord Jagannath and his siblings, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra commenced their return trip to Puri's Sri Mandir on July 9. Ceremonial procession rite called the "Bahuda Pahandi" marked the start of the voyage. Ample security precautions were prepared to ensure that the event went off without a hitch due to the massive influx of worshippers brought on by the procession.

NTPC Records 21.7% Increase In Power Generation In April-June 22
NTPC group companies registered an increase of 21.7% from 85.8 BU generated in the corresponding quarter last year to 104 BU, in QFY3. On July 8, the company revealed that in June’22, generation was 34.8 BU, higher by 29.3% compared to 26.9 BU in June’21 indicating improved performance along with increased power supply demand. Notably, the NTPC thermal plant in Odisha is the highest generating thermal power plant.

Odisha College Student Commits Suicide In Dormitory; Blames Seniors For Ragging In Suicide Note
A 19-year-old BJB Autonomous College student allegedly committed suicide in her dormitories on July 2. The authorities discovered a suicide note inside the room, in which she claimed she was mentally tortured by three college seniors. She did not name anyone. Her mother has filed a complaint with the Badagada Police Station in Odisha, requesting a thorough investigation and the arrest of the three senior students.

Jagannath Rath Yatra 2022: Vadodara Man Builds Robotic Rath As Tribute To Lord Jagannath
The famed Jagannath Rath Yatra in Odisha began on July 1. Among the photos and videos of chariot processions, one of the most fascinating comes from Gujarat's Vadodara, where a person built a robotic rath as a modernistic homage to Lord Jagannath. The Vadodara native Jai Makwana's chariot is credited with blending science and tradition. The rath is controlled via Bluetooth with the use of a phone rather than a conventional rope.

54 Kg Ganja Seized From Distributers In Solapur-Pune Highway
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the Solapur-Pune highway, seized 54 kilograms of high-grade ganja, police informed on July 1. The police also arrested two drug peddlers from the scene. Reportedly, the seized contraband worth Rs 85 lakh, was sourced from Odisha's Ganjam, and was destined to be distributed in Mumbai, Surat and other adjoining areas. The duo also confessed to have supplied the contraband in the region multiple times.

STF Seizes Brown Sugar Worth Rs 1.20 Crore, Arrests 4: Odisha
In Odisha, the Special Task Force seized brown worth Rs 1.20 crores, confirmed police on June 26. They also arrested four accused, identified as Rakesh Kumar Barik, Biranchinarayan Sahoo, Jagabandhu Biswal and Santosh Routray. The STF also registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act 1985, and launched an investigation. Notably, this is the second seizure of brown sugar, as, on June 25, the police seized worth crores.

Z+ Security Provided To NDA Presidential Candidate Droupadi Murmu
