NDRF Teams Reach Bihar For Flood Relief, Rescue Operations

Three NDRF teams reached Patna in special Indian Air Force aircraft from Cuttack, Odisha, for a rescue and relief operation amid floods in Bihar. The 100-members teams arrived with radio sets, satellite fans, and other modern equipment in the flood-affected areas. Reportedly, over 34 lakh people have been affected by the torrents. Bihar's recent heavy rains have caused Ganga and Burhi Gandak rivers to out mark the danger level.

Refused To Pay Rs 50 For Buying Ganja, Friend Stabbed To Death

Pradeep Kumar, a 23-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend named Prince Kumar, following a scuffle that broke out between them on July 31 in Bihar's Patna. Reportedly, Prince attacked Pradeep and fled away when he refused to pay him Rs 50 for buying ganja. However, Pradeep later succumbed to his injuries in a hospital. Besides, police have registered a complaint filed by Pradeep’s brother.

Truck Collides With Bike; Mother, Daughter Dead

A truck rammed into the bike on Gandhi Setu in Patna, Bihar on July 5, resulting in the death of a pregnant woman and her two-year-old daughter, leaving the husband critically injured. The husband was rushed to Hajipur Sadar hospital. Reportedly, the truck ran over the mother and daughter when the family was going to Phulwari Sharif in Patna from Hajipur. The driver of the truck was arrested, informed the police.

Bihar Hospital Finally Installs 25 Ventilators Received 9 Months Ago

Provided under the PM CARES Fund nine months ago, the 25 ventilators have now been installed at the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in Bihar on May 24. However, the hospital officials stated that the scarcity of oxygen supply and other technical issues caused the delay in the installation of ventilators. Meanwhile, two patients have been placed on the newly-installed ventilators.
