Van Driver Assaulted Over Suspicion Of Smuggling Cow: UP

A van driver was beaten up by cow vigilantes in suspicion of cattle smuggling in Mathura district of UP. A Muslim man was held in captive and assaulted by the mob, as per reports. A video has gone viral of the man getting beaten and verbally abused. SP M.P. Singh told that the van was heading towards Sikandra Rao in Hathras, which was then stopped by the local residents.

Minor Girl Allegedly Raped In Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, a shocking incident took place where a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an unidentified person near the Ayodhya Kotwali police station, on March 16. "The accused's identity is still unknown... Soon we will book the culprit", said Shailesh Pandey, SSP. The victim has reportedly been admitted to the hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. Further investigation is underway.

2 Arrested For Alleged Firing At AIMIM President's Vehicle: Meerut

Uttar Pradesh police arrested two people for allegedly shooting at AIMIM President Convoy in Meerut, UP.  On February 3, Asadauddin Owaisi was returning to Delhi after addressing a rally in Meerut, when some people gun shot at his vehicle. Deepak Bukher, the Superintendent of Police of Meerut registered the case and confirmed the arrest of two people. He further said, an investigation is underway.

Journalist Beaten To Death In UP Over Alleged 'Road Rage'; 2 Arrested

Uttar Pradesh police arrested two people on January 27, for allegedly beating a journalist to death in Saharanpur area. Police said, the journalist was on a motorbike and overtook the car, in which three persons were seated. They said that enraged by overtaking, the three men allegedly thrashed the journalist, due to which he was seriously injured, and died later. Police further stated that a legal action is being ensured.

UP Police Busts Illegal Arms Unit, Arrests Two Persons

A manufacturing unit of illegal arms have been busted with recovery of cache of arms in Uttar Pardesh on January 22, said police. Two persons were arrested, while seventeen pistols, three guns, 11 under manufacture pistols, and 32 barrels were seized in the raid. Police further said that the accused confessed that arms were being manufactured to sell them during upcoming elections in Uttar Pardesh and Uttarakhand, scheduled in February.
