CM Dhami Announced Portal To Facilitate Suggestions On Uniform Civil Code: Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhanush has announced a portal to facilitate suggestions on Uniform Civil Code (UCC). The chairman and members of the expert committee met CM Dhami in the secretariat and held a discussion on the matter. An approval was given in the first cabinet meeting, constituting an expert committee. Furthermore, Dhami lauded the committee’s work so far, and said that it has worked “expeditiously”.

Uttarakhand CM Dhami Resolutes To Make State Drug-Free By 2025
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the goal of drug-free Devbhoomi will be achieved by the year 2025. The statement has come in a meeting with the Narco Coordination (NCORD) at the secretariat, on July 29. He said that the drug suppliers should be hit hard, while the children and youth should be protected from the grip of drugs.

Uniform Civil Code To Soon Be Implemented In Uttarakhand, Says CM Pushkar Dhami
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami assured that Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will soon be implemented in the state. With this, Uttarakhand will become the second state after Goa, to implement UCC. CM Dhami said, UCC will be brought in irrespective of people's "religion and section of the society". Himachal Pradesh's CM Jairam Thakur and Assam CM Himanta Sarma have also extended their support towards implementing UCC.

4 More Pilgrims Die In Kedarnath, Death Toll At 38 Since May 6: Uttarakhand
In Uttarakhand's Kedarnath, four more Pilgrims lost their lives after falling ill, on May 25. Meanwhile, three others have been airlifted to Rishikesh's AIIMS via air ambulance. The deceased have been identified as Rishi Bhadauriya (65), Shambu Dayal Yadav (66), Kamalnath Bhatt (60) and Changdev Janardan Shinde. Reportedly, since May 6, over 38 Pilgrims have died on their way, due to cardiac arrest and other health problems.
