'Stokes-Samson Show' Conquers Highest Total Against Mumbai In IPL History
Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson anchored the Rajasthan Royals to an emphatic win against the Mumbai Indians. Chasing an enormous total of 196 runs, highest against Mumbai in IPL history, Rajasthan suffered an early blow of Uthappa. However, from the very next over, Stokes charged against Mumbai’s pace trio - Pattinson, Bumrah and Boult - and smashed them for back-to-back boundaries. While it took 123 deliveries for Stokes to hit his first six of IPL-13, he did not turn back after then and scored his first century of the season. Sanju also adapted Stokes’ show and scored his third fifty of IPL-13. The unbeaten pair led Royals to the victory with 10 balls remaining. Earlier, batting first, Mumbai’s in-form de Kock departed early, after which Royals kept on taking wickets at regular intervals till Hardik Pandya arrived at the crease. Hardik's quick 60 runs in 21 balls with seven gigantic sixes helped MI to put the above par score.
