India To Finalize $700 Million Defense Pact With United States
India is set to sign a defense pact with the United States to procure 100 fighter jet engines from US-based General Electric (GE) for a whopping $700 million. Negotiations to acquire fighter jet engines that will power Indian Tejas Light Combat Aircraft are almost absolute. Meanwhile, the agreement would be earmarked as the biggest India-US defense deal since February 2020 when India procured multi-role helicopters from the US.
