SC To Hear PIL Filed Against Parliament Inauguration
The Supreme Court is likely to hear a public interest litigation (PIL) filed against the inauguration of the new parliament building, by PM Narendra Modi. Notably, there has been a ruckus with the opposition, who called for a "boycott parliament" inauguration by PM Modi, and demanding the inauguration by President Droupadi Murmu. As of now, 21 opposition parties, including Congress, AAP and DMK announced to skip the event.
