India Records 2,067 Fresh COVID Cases In Last 24 Hours: COVID Update
Data from Health Ministry revealed that India reported 2,067 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, on April 20. The active case load in the country stands at 12,340, whereas death toll rose to 5,22,006. It is to be noted that about 480 cases have been added to the active case load in the last 24 hours. About 186.90 cumulative COVID vaccine doses have been administered so far.

Sri Lankan Economic Crisis: Health Ministry Reports Drug Shortage
Amid the ongoing economic crisis in the island nation, Healthy Ministry had reported a drug shortage in the country, on April 14. The shortage has come possibly due to a delay in opening the Letter of Credit, including the one India gave, reported Sri Lanka's Newswire. The ministry then stated that some hospitals are witnessing a shortage in certain drugs and medical equipments.

COVID-19 Booster Vaccination Drive At Private Centers Begins On April 10
The COVID-19 booster dose vaccination drive started at private vaccination centers across India, on April 10. Recently, the Union Health Ministry announced the precautionary dose for the 18+ population of India. However, the doses will only be available at private centers at a cost of Rs. 225 per dose. Furthermore, people vaccinated with the two COVID-19 doses, with a gap of nine months is eligible for booster.

COVID-19 Precautionary Dose To Be Available For Adults At Private Centres From April 10

Ministry of Ayush is organising a grand programme for the demonstration of common yoga protocol at Red Fort on April 7, on the occasion of World Health Day. Union Cabinet Approves Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission For Next 5 Years
On Saturday 26, PM Narendra Modi announced a nationwide roll-out of the Central Sector Scheme, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). It was fixed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, with a full allotment of Rs. 1,600 crores for five years, read a press release. India COVID-19 Updates: Reports 44,877 New Cases With 684 Deaths
India, on February 13 reported 44,877 fresh COVID-19 cases, 11% lower than February 12. Besides new cases, the nation registered 1,17,591 recovered and 684 death COVID-19 cases. With this, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) updated 5,37,045 (1.26%) active cases, 5,08,665 (1.19%) death cases and 4,15,85,711 recovered cases (97.55%). Meanwhile, a total of 172.81 crore vaccine doses have been administered to people in India.

India Reports Decline In COVID-19 Cases With 71,365 New Cases
India reported decline in COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day with 71,365 fresh cases. Health Ministry Postpones NEET PG 2022 Exam By 6 to 8 Weeks
NEET PG 2022 Exam has been postponed by 6 to 8 Weeks, on February 4. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be held on March 12, 2022. It was announced by Union Health Ministry after the matter was up for hearing in Supreme Court. February 4, 2022, was the last date of exam registering for the same. Notably, with this announcement, the deadline is likely to be extended or changed.
