In Kerala, the police detained seven opposition party members after they attempted to raise a black flag toward CM Pinarayi Vijayan. Prior to the Chief Minister's two-day visit to Kozhikode, security had been intensified, yet some protestors entered and showed black flags, which led to detention. Now, a video of the incident went viral on social media, in which police was seen pinching protesters, which gained criticism.

The Kerala Police ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Kerala Human Sacrifice case, which killed two women brutally. On October 13, Kerala Police Chief Anil Kant said, Kochi Deputy Commissioner of Police S Sasidharan will lead the SIT and investigate the matter, which involves the prime accused, a shafi and a couple, who performed the brutal murder under 'black magic'.

Kochi Police Reveals Details Of Gruesome Human Sacrifice Murder Amid Black Magic

The Kerala Police revealed the details of the gruesome murder and human sacrifice case incident. On October 12, the police mentioned, one victim was cut into 56 pieces and said, the main accused, Shafi has a past criminal record. In a press meeting, Kochi commissioner CH Nagaraju said the Shafi trapped the couple-Bhagaval Singh and his wife Laila, who made sacrifices of humans, to gain money and launched an investigation.

TP Nandakumar, a journalist was arrested over allegations of harassment and abuse in Kochi, Kerala. Kerala Police Arrests Couple With 1.95 Kg Of MDMA: Kannur

The Kerala police have arrested a couple with 1.95 kg of MDMA worth Rs 1.5 crores from Kannur plaza junction, on March 7. The accused have been identified as Balkis and her husband Afzal from Muzhappilangad. Besides MDMA, the police recovered 67 grams brown sugar, and 7.5 grams of opium, wrapped in a cloth and were brought from Bengaluru in a bus. Furthermore, an investigation is underway.

Kerala Police Arrests 150 Migrants Amid Police Attack

At least 150 migrants were arrested by the Kerala Police, on December 26. The migrants were alleges of attacking five policemen, set ablaze vehicle and vandalised three vehicles. They have took all migrants at a camp on custody, amid a fight which erupted during Christmas celebration in Kazhakkamballa in Kochi. The migrants will be under custody at various stations, until assailants were found. The investigation is underway.
