Delhi HC Dismisses Plea To Stop Publication Of Salman Khurshid's Book
The Delhi High Court (HC,) on November 25, dismissed the petition filed to stop publication and circulation of Congress leader Salman Khurshid's book, "Sunrise Over Ayodhya: Nationhood Of Our Times." Reportedly, Khurshid's book has been claimed to be controversial, hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. "What can we do if people are feeling so sensitive", the judge said in a statement proceeding to dismiss the petition.

Hansal Mehta Demands To Legalise Marijuana Consumption In India
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta has demanded to decriminalise marijuana use in India in a tweet on October 14. He backed his claim saying marijuana consumption is already legal in many other nations. “In our country, its consumption is used more for harassment than for narcotics control,'' Mehta Tweeted. Delhi High Court Gives Nod To Virtual Marriage Registration
In the latest development, the Delhi HC has permitted to allow the registration of marriages through virtual presence. The decision comes in response to a plea filed by a US-Indian couple who were repeatedly asked to be present in person. The court said, "mandatory presence negates the purpose of enactment of registration order." However, the registration has to be done in the physical presence with all documents including two witnesses.

S. Korean Parliament Suggest Ban On In-app Purchases From Google & Apple
The South Korean parliament has suggested amending a law to ban Google and Apple from forcibly charging commissions from software developers on in-app purchases. This is the first restraint on the tech giants by a major economy. Apple commented that the bill “will put users who purchase digital goods from other sources at risk of fraud". Meanwhile, Google stated, “the rushed process hasn’t allowed for enough negative impact analysis".

Hoping to strike down section 124A of IPC, Chief Justice of India N.V.Ramana led a bench of judges and argued with Attorney General "KK Venugopal" about how section 124A has been grossly misused. He questioned the Attorney General as to why section 124A is needed even after 75 years of independence. Karnataka HC Urges CBI To Release Rs 53.46-L To Shivakumar's Partner
While hearing a petition, the Karnataka High Court urged CBI to disburse the seized Rs 53.46 lakh to DK Shivakumar's close associate Sachin Narayan. Earlier accused of corruption, the bench headed by Justice Michael Cunha reiterated Narayan's innocence of having any connection with disproportionate assets that are under investigation. Besides, the amount seized from Wellworth Software Limited was in due course of business, stated Narayan.
