Amid opposition's protest, the fuel rates in Indian metro cities are rising everyday, taking the overall pricing up by Rs 9.20, on April 5. With another hike in prices, the rates are now Rs 104.61 petrol in Delhi and Rs 119.67 in Mumbai. Whereas, diesel costs Rs 95.87 and Rs 103.92 in Delhi & Mumbai, respectively. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MPs demanded discussion over the fuel hike and staged a protest.

Congress MP Deepender Hooda demanded a township for displaced Kashmiri Pandits. During Rajya Sabha proceedings on March 30, the Congress MP asked the Central Government to set up the township for those Kashmiri pandits who have been displaced in their own country. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke on the accidental launch of a missile into Pakistan at the Rajya Sabha on March 15.  The Government of India, launched a high-level probe and said, "I would like to inform the House that the government has taken serious note of the incident". Notably, due to technical malfunction, the missile was launched on March 9 and landed in Islamabad but no damage was reported.
