In a wildlife "shocking" incident, the Rajasthan Forest Department on March 19 stated six tigers in the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve have gone missing. The officials informed that the tigers, including two cubs, were last seen during March-April 2020. Kerala forest officials on January 22 arrested five people in Idukki for killing a leopard and consuming its meat. The officials also recovered 10 kilogram of uncooked meat and body parts of the leopard from the accused.
