NHAI Scam: CBI Court Refuses To Send Accused TP Singh To 5-Day CBI Remand

In the case of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) scam, a special CBI refused to send accused to further CBI remand. The court pronounced the order, stating that "no grounds for further remand exist". The order has come after CBI had filed filed an application, seeking to remand accused TP Singh in CBI custody for five days. The CBI in the aforementioned matter, has arrested 5 others as well.

Delhi's Patiala House Court Rejects Bail Of Alt News' Zubair, Sentenced To 14-Day Judicial Custody

Delhi's Patiala House Court denied Alt News co-founder Mohd Zubair's bail application and ordered him 14-day Judicial custody in a case involving an allegedly offensive tweet on July 2. Zubair appeared in court on July 2 after his 4-day police detention expired. The accused has also been suspected of conspiracy and evidence destruction in the case. In court, the police also said that Zubair received payments from foreign countries.

Satyendar Jain's ED Custody Extended For 14 Days In Money Laundering Case

A special court extended the judicial custody of Satyendar Jain, the Health Minister of Delhi by two weeks. On June 13, the court extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) judicial custody of the AAP leader, arrested in the money laundering case. Furthermore, the Delhi High Court accepted his bail plea of Jain and adjourned the matter to a hearing for June 14.

Satyendar Jain's ED Custody Extended Till June 13 : Delhi Court

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody of the Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been extended till June 13. A Delhi district court judge, on June 9, reviewed the custodial plea and extended the ED custody. Notably, Satyendar Jain has been arrested by the ED in a money laundering case, happened in 2017. He has been arrested on May 31 and has been under judicial custody since then.

4 Accused Arrested In 1993 Mumbai Blast Case Remanded14-Days Judicial Custody

A special CBI court remanded four persons, arrested in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case. The four accused, Abu Bakar, Saiyad Qureshi, Mohammad Shoeb Qureshi and Mohammad Yusuf Ismail were sent to judicial custody for 14 days with the CBI for further investigation. Earlier in May, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested the four people from Gujarat after receiving a tip-off, who were produced before the CBI court.

YSRCP MLC Confesses To Kill Ex Driver, Remanded For 14 Days Custody

YSRCP MLC Anantha Babu, an accused in the murder of his ex-driver V Subrahmanyam, confessed his crime before the AP police. He said, although he didn't plan to murder Subrahmanyam, he beat him to death. Notably, on May 19, V Subrahmanyam was found dead in Kakinada, following which a case was registered. After an initial investigation, Babu was produced before the court and is currently under 14-days of judicial-custody.

Advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte Remanded In 14-Day Judicial Custody

A Mumbai court announced 14-days of judicial custody of advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte, on April 20. The remand custody was in the view of the recent Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) workers' protest outside the NCP Chief Sharad Pawar's house. On April 8, he was arrested in regard to the protest. Reportedly, he will be in the judicial custody till May, for further investigation.

NCP Leader Nawab Malik's Custody To ED Extended Till April 22

A special PMLA court extended the judicial custody of NCP leader Nawab Malik to the Enforcement Directorate till April 22. Notably, NCP leader and former Maharashtra Minister Malik has been accused of money laundering and connection with the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, which is being investigated by ED.
