In a horrific incident, a man allegedly raped a minor in school premises. The incident occurred on Holi, in Bihar's Begusarai district. The police confirmed the incident and said, the victim and her friend, stopped at school to enjoy the swing ride, when the accused identified as Chotu Kumar, raped the seven-year-old and assaulted her friend, a nine-year-old in an intoxicated state. The police registered a case and arrested Kumar.

In a horrific incident, a 56-year-old man was lynched amid suspicion of carrying beef. The incident occurred on March 9, in Bihar's Siwan district. The victim was identified as Naseem Qureshi, a resident of Hasanpur village. He was going to meet someone with his nephew, when a mob allegedly intercepted them at Jogia village and thrashed Nazeem Qureshi with wooden sticks. Police arrested three people and launched investigation.

On an Indigo aircraft from Kolkata, a 24-year-old lady was allegedly caught smoking in the restroom. She was detained upon landing in Bengaluru last week. Later, she was released on bail. K Shankar, an airport security official, filed a police report saying, Priyanka C, who was travelling from Kolkata in an Indigo 6E-716 flight, smoked in the middle of the flight.

In an encounter between the Police and accused Vijay alias Usman in Kaundhiyara police station area, the accused in the Umesh Pal, (a witness in the death of BSP Leader) murder case allegedly died.  The encounter broke out in Prayagraj, on March 6, under the Prayagraj Police jurisdiction. As per sources, Arbaaz, an accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, was also killed in an encounter with the police earlier.

In a shocking incident, BJP MLA Madal Virupakshappa's son caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 40 lakhs.
