The Karnataka HC is all set to pronounce its judgement on the controversial Hijab row issue, on March 15. The matter started in January, condemning the orders of Udupi Pre University, which banned entry with hijab or religious attire, besides uniform. The matter was taken to the HC, which is to announce the verdict. Until now, the court issued interim order, restricting students from wearing hijab until matter resolves.

In Punjab's Bhoolar village, Hindu and Sikh communities have come together in order to help Muslim families to re-build their only mosque in the area. "The village has seven Gurudwara, two temples & the only mosque, established before the partition and was almost ruined with time," said the village sarpanch Sarpanch Pala Singh. They are very happy that a mosque will be our tenth place of worship, he added.

A self-claimed cow vigilante group on May 23 assaulted a Muslim businessman in UP’s Moradabad for allegedly killing an animal. Filing a case against the group, the police recorded a counter case against the victim with charges under act of ‘mischief by killing an animal.'
