Monkeypox has been detected in France, Belgium and Germany, on May 20. France has reported its first case, whereas Belgium reported two cases in two different cities. A single case of Monkeypox has been confirmed in an adult male by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in US. The patient had a recent travel to Canada and the Department of Public Health is working on identifying those who came in contact with him. Monkeypox doesn't transmit between persons easily, but can happen through the exchange of bodily fluids. It is a rare, yet serious viral illness.

A painting by Maud Lewis, a Canadian artist, was auctioned for more than ₹2 crores. The painting of a black truck was given to its owner in return for a grilled cheese sandwich. Irene Demas, a chef, bought the painting in 1973. It was given to them by London artist John Kinnear five decades ago.

India To Now Export Banana & Baby Corn To Canada, Receives Market Access
India has received market access to export fresh bananas to Canada with immediate effect. Also, in a month, following a technical update, India will also start exporting baby corn to Canada. The decision has been taken after negotiations were carried out between Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Canadian High Commissioner HE Cameron Mackay, on April 7. The move is expected to benefit the Indian farmers abundantly.

Ghaziabad Student Shot Dead In Canada, Father Requests For Mortal Remains
In Canada, an Indian student named Kartik Vasudev, studying management was shot dead. His father, Ritesh Vasudev urged the Indian government, the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and other officials to help him get the mortal remains of his son from Canada. He said, "I've not received any response from him (EAM) or anyone in the government yet". Furthermore, Toronto police are investigating the death of Kartik.

21-Year-Old Indian Student Shot Dead In Canada, Jaishankar Expresses Condolences
In Toronto, Canada, a 21-year-old student from Ghaziabad (UP), was shot dead at the Sherbourne subway on April 7. "The man had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," said Canadian police. Notably, Kartik Vasudev was a first-semester Marketing Management student at Seneca College in Toronto and he was shot while he was on his way to the Mexican restaurant.
